Pierre Bélanger, Owner of Earlton RV, has been recognized by the RV Dealership Association (RVDA) of Ontario as the 2012 RV Dealer of the year: bringing more accolades North for their involvement in the local, business, and RV communities. This award had also placed Earlton RV as one of the top 6 dealerships in Canada for 2012!
François Gauthier, a good friend and fellow community member, joined in the celebration by building a working scale model of a covered wagon complete with a working handbrake commemorating the event. Pierre was honoured to receive the gift and stated, “We’ve been in this business for so long that we’ve probably sold one just like this…”
Earlton RV had been established in 1976 as a dealership for the Boler Trailer Factory. They’ve been focused on providing RV sales and repair services ever since. Pierre is proud of his growing team at Earlton RV, “We opened in 1976 with 7 people and we now have 20 well established employees that provide service in French and English.” Earlton RV is a modern family owned business and believe operating in the North is their greatest asset. The local scenery and camping grounds are just perfect.
When asked what it is Earlton RV does, Pierre has stated, “We buy, sell and service RV’s. It’s as simple as that. We do it year-round and we like to do it well.” It’s a modest statement considering that winning the ORVDA award does not happen on the merit of sales and service alone. Winners of the award are selected with the following in consideration:
- Their dedication to the RV industry and lifestyle
- Recognition from customers and peers for integrity in their business and personal lives
- Making positive contributions to their communities
Earlton RV was selected from all RV dealers in Ontario for not only their commitment to the industry but their community as well. Pierre has been an integral part of his community as he is a trainer and speaker for management seminars for small/medium business owners as well as leading French language seminars for the Spader Management Group in Québec. As the Chair for “La Fondation Communautaire du Témiskaming” Pierre has helped build the community Health Clinic, seniors’ residence, and developed multiple bursaries to aid secondary school students to achieve a post-secondary education. Pierre and his team built a strong business reputation through supporting their community and treating their customers with a great deal of respect.
Congratulations to Earlton RV on well-deserved recognition to a stable business and valued leader in the community.
